About the Foundation
Over the next decade, most economic activity will be mediated by AI agents. The AMA Foundation is an independent, non-profit organization that exists so the infrastructure they settle on remains neutral, verifiable, and owned by no single party.
The Foundation stewards protocol upgrades — from the Shenron emission transition at epoch 750 to the TEE pool split — through an open, documented process, on the path to full on-chain governance (Governance v1, targeted Q4 2026).
Amadeus consensus tolerates up to 33% faulty trainers, rotates validators every epoch, and slashes misbehavior. The Foundation grows a globally distributed base of miners and validators so no single operator controls the settlement layer.
AMA is distributed through Useful Proof of Work on a public, predictable emission schedule. The Foundation safeguards that schedule and the reserves that fund privacy-preserving compute.
Through the three-track grants program, the $1M+ Early Builders accelerator, and hackathons like Genesis, the Foundation funds builders creating verifiable agents, skills, and infrastructure on Amadeus.
The AMA token
100% of AMA supply is emitted through Useful Proof of Work over an estimated 15–30 years. The emission schedule is public, predictable, and designed so that no single period of the network's history captures disproportionate value.
Early epochs issue ~1M AMA per epoch, gradually tapering to 779k — rapidly distributing supply and securing the young network.
Issuance drops ~65% (779k → 271k AMA per epoch) while mining fees fall from 85% to 25% — so net miner rewards actually rise from 43k to 186k AMA by epoch 810.
Emissions taper smoothly toward the 1B hard cap, with a reserved portion funding TEE miners and privacy-preserving compute for the agent economy.
Asset transfers, WASM contract deployment, and on-chain operations.
Inference, on-chain memory, and state transitions for autonomous agents.
Rewards for UPoW miners performing the AI computation that secures consensus.
Participation in protocol governance as it progressively decentralizes.
AMA serves exclusively as a functional utility instrument within the Amadeus network. It is not a security, investment contract, equity interest, or profit-sharing arrangement, and holders should have no expectation of profit or financial return.
Standards
Autonomous agents are becoming economic actors. The Foundation promotes an execution standard where every agent action is deterministic, replayable, and reviewable — because black boxes have no place in financial infrastructure.
Scoped permissions per role and workflow
Thresholds on spend, execution, and risk
Human sign-off for higher-risk actions
What the agent saw, decided, and executed
No silent drift in logic or policy
Anomaly flags, pause controls, kill switches
Governance
The Foundation operates under a public charter. Protocol upgrades, treasury movements, and program decisions are documented and open to community review — with on-chain Governance v1 targeted for Q4 2026.
